7gypsies

A New card for my 7gypsies ATC Photo Carousel using 7gypsies Gypsy Market Photo Carousel Cards as the base and a 7gypsies Gypsy Market Journal Transparency.  I love how the transparency sticks out.  A little bit of Tim Holtz Alcohol ink would be a nice touch to the transparency.....but what color?  A green leaf is part of a 7gypsies Velvet Flower set-which is on order.  Working with the 7gypsies carousel is great when you like things sticking out everywhere, which I certainly do.

Prima Flowers Artistry Flowers, Jenni Bowlin Printed Tickets/Girl. I hand cut the larger flower out of newspaper and inked it with Colorbox CHALK Cats Eye Inkpads.

Now I have to work on the backside.  I tend to get a bit excited to pull a layout together.  So working on the back will be bumpy because I  glued the flowers on already!  Oh well.

Tattered Angels

Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens a fun way to add color, sparkle...brings pages to life.

Tattered Angels Elegant Emblems Glimmer Screen.

This is directly from the Tattered Angels Blog.
"Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens…
Hey! Nic Howard here with some quick easy inspiration from Tattered Angels. It’s summer here in New Zealand and I have a pile of stunning photos waiting to be scrapbooked - these are just some of them! Sometimes you have photos that you just don’t want to overwhelm with product - this is where Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Glimmer Screens are perfect!

The background to this layout was very quickly created using a gentle spray of Tattered Leather coloured Glimmer Mist over a Glimmer Screen which had been placed on white cardstock. A second coat of Creme De Chocolat was placed over the top for added depth.

I then added a small amount of ‘Brick’ Glimmer Mist, just above where I knew the focus photo would be - I chose this colour to match in with the photo. There are so many Glimmer Mist colours to choose from, so it wasn’t hard to find a match!

A Glimmer Screen from the Garden series was first used as a stamp - I sprayed ‘English Ivy’ Glimmer Mist directly onto the screen, pressed carefully to my cardstock and very lightly lifted it off. I repeated this process on a spare piece of white cardstock then cut the image out, creating an image which I then sprayed with ‘Garden Fairy’ to add a little extra sparkle and adhered to my layout.

Add photos, title with new Tattered Angels Alphas and gems to finish - so easy and so quick - just the way we love our layouts!"

Basic Grey Calender

Here's my March layout using the BasicGrey Calendar Kit 2009.  Jake took this photo of Elsie in her favorite hat. She loves hats of all kinds.  Today she was wearing a winter hat that straps under the chin and it was 85 degrees. She didn't wear it outside though!

Basic Grey PORCELAIN Element Stickers green border under the photo and Basic Grey PORCELAIN Wilma Mini Mono Stickers for Spring. I don't know why I'm saying spring when it's going to be 90 Monday-I should be saying summer!

I couldn't decide weather to use the flower or chipboard florish next to the photo -Jake said both and I agree. The flower pops out.  I cut the flower from Basic Grey PORCELAIN Paper/Rochelle.

Basic Grey PORCELAIN Alpha Stickers and Black circle Heidi Swapp Dream Dining Room Stickers.
The black rub-on comes with the calendar and the BasicGrey Porcelain chipboard pieces are on order expected soon.
I rubbed the edges with Colorbox chalk inks-I used 3 colors not exact matches just close enough. If I choose an ink that is too bright or dark I just use another color over that one -most of the time it usually blends fine.

Prima Morning Song Ribbon.

Can't wait until next month to do another layout.

Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop

We are now carrying Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop Fade-resistant dye ink pads.  Just look at all the colors.  I love to take these kind of shots.  Memento dye inks work well with Copic markers when you need to ink something while using your markers.  We will be carrying Copic in the future -any special requests?  We are thinking about Copic Sketch.
