Flying Off the Shelves
The card holders from 7 Gypsies have been hard to keep in stock-very popular! We just received a back order and have them! Great fun to embellish - put your daily thoughts, staple two together and put "secret" notes in between, use as an address book, not to mention playing with ribbon. I used Basic Grey ribbon and buttons to get started with mine-my first one to be my new address book.

Envelopes
I've always liked to create thank you cards and invitations instead of buyng the boxed set. Of course, I get my thank you all
ready to go - and where is the envelope! We've added envelopes to our mix for that very reason. A7 size is for a 5x7 card
or foldover and the A2 size is for a 4 1/4x5 1/2 size. Our house is baby city and squeezing in the thank you's is....ahh you know what I mean!

My 9 Month Album
I've started my 9 month album - pregnancy - with the trapezoid album from Creative Imaginations. Really love the look of the 7 Gypsies page protector - a unique item and super easy. Heidi Swapp rub-ons, Creative Imaginations ribbon, Scenic Route die-cuts...I just need to stock up on toner and start printing photos!

Autumn Leaves clear stamps
The Autumn Leaves clear stamps are one of our top sellers and with good reason. My assistant Jake does a fabulous job moving the stamps - maybe he'll be a hand model. A career as a male hand model- nah maybe not such a hot idea.

No Not Paparazzi - it's Glitterazzi!
Glitter is a super way to "liven" up your page - maybe not the cover of People magazine being held by Matt Damon - but you get the jist. Add some "star" power to your layouts. We have the ultra fine and the large chards - they take me back to art class in elementary school.

Holy Cow! It's a Girl
I'm your friendly guest blogger - no, not like your elementary substitute teacher. My super duper pal Lisa had an adorable baby girl Tuesday morning. Elsie Madison has an inch of soft- I mean the softest-sandy brown hair at 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 1/2 inches. Mom is doing great, wow to be a woman- I mean you go thru the incredible physical upheavel of having the baby and then wham you have a baby that needs all you attention. I think God forgot to stick in recovery. We are unbelievably blessed and there now is no doubt about it - I am the luckiest guy in the world.
Thank you so much, I mean really Thank you, for all your kind words and prayers. We all have quite a bit to be thankful for...take a minute today to thank the big guy above for all your blessings.

Still Waiting
Babies come when they want to
I know but,
the wait is driving me crazy.
Under a week until my due date
and I'm excercising -yes
drinking plenty of water-yes
resting -yes
squats-yes
major contractions -no.
I would like to have a Natural Child Birth
without pitocin -which I had last time.
Jake was only 3 weeks late!
So everyday, like today,
I'm hoping to feel the pain!
I'm thinking of baking a chocolate cake
with chocloate frosting
and hot cocoa (80 degrees I'm not sure about this one)...
to seduce the baby into the world.
Am I the only one who thinks this is a good idea?
Sweaters by Grandmother-hope the weather gets cooler fast.
By the way, don't you love the new KI Lace Cardstock
and the Basic Grey and October Afternoon's brown rub-ons!

October Afternoon video
This is a new line we really wanted to add -the stamps are super high quality and detailed, just like Technique Tuesday.
The products are made in the USA which means less odors. When we open boxes of papers it makes a difference when less powders and chemicals are used to print them. We are an allergic family - as a lot of people today -so the less allergens the better. This is hard to find.

Our Winner Mia!
We had so much fun doing the $100.00 Contest.
We wanted to let you know a bit about our winner. Check out her journaling on her layouts -tres bien!
Where you're from?
I'm from a tropical island in the South Pacific called the Philippines and more specifically, the capital city of Manila. Scrapbooking here is relatively new but it's taking off with a bang!
What got you started scrapping?
I started scrapping last year when I wanted to find a nice and original gift to give to someone that wasn't bought in a store or something they might already have. A former co worker showed me her scrapbook and I thought "Hey, this is a neat idea!" I then came across a LSS and ventured in and needless to say after that I was hooked. I think scrapbooking came natural to me since I have an art & design background so I've pretty much been creative most of my life.
How much time do you spend scrapping?
Try all the time! LOL! I eat, drink, think & sleep scrapping! I love it that much!
Where do you "start" on a layout?
Since I'm a visual person I usually start with the photos and then go on from there. But sometimes I may mix it up and start with a nice piece of patterned paper.
Thank You Mia!

Butterflies
Butterflies fluttering around our Fairy Duster plant this weekend. Last week we saw a butterfly with fluorscent blue wings, I wish I had thougth of photographing it. You could only see the blue when the wings were open at the right angle-like a Hummingbird.
A few thankfuls tonight
Thankful for the cool weather today.
Thankful for Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke. A great read with my son.
Thankful for a nice haircut by Scott.
Thankful for no heartburn. Maybe it's the gum I've been chewing after dinner.
Thankful for this huge stomach of mine that moves!
Don't forget to post on the gallery for the $100.00!

Creative Bite
This layout is largely Daisy'd products. I'm doing less and less layouts, finding my back starts hurting when I bend over and I like to work standing. Scott has been a huge help doing the dishes -I try not to make too much of a mess-Right! My son wants me to make sugar cookies -I'm thinking rolling, pressing, cutting... and cleaning a floury mess from decoration candies-yikes!
Only about six (I'm hoping for less) more weeks. We're getting very excited to hold a baby - instead of looking at he/she kicks and dances in my belly (though I like that very much).

Heidi Swapp
From Heidi Swapp:
New GLOSSY chipboard. They come in fun colors and shapes like the exclamations, NEW flower shapes, label holders, hearts and my favorite, polka dots!
This folder was made with the glossy chipboard and below we are giving you some step by step instructions on how to create this fun project:
1. Start with a pink file folder cut in half.
2. Format the word "seriously" in your favorite font on your computer. Print directly on the file folder letting the word hang off onto the tab part of the folder.
3. Embellish folder with pink glossy chipboard flowers.
4. Insert notebook paper (pink of course!) and stitch in place inside the folder.
Now you instantly have a place to jot down your notes and inspirations. Enjoy!
I think these kind of quick & small projects are fun to get the creative juices flowing. Cover a notebook, make a card...use lots of cool embellishments and leftover pieces of paper to make something out of the ordinary.
