Scrapbooking Sale Kits

Wow, I had so much fun making our first kit and it's sold out. I'm shocked that it went so fast and excited to make another - I just about have it ready. I thought it would take too much time, but I've found that I like putting them together as much as spending the time scrapping. So... I made quite a few and we have a new catagory on the site under Scrapbooking kits -it's called Scrapbooking Sale Kits!!! I've taken some old and new and put very limited editions together at great prices. This is all in addition to the monthly kits we will be selling. Here's a little sample.

7gypsies Photo Carousel Card

A video goofing around with American Crafts Grapefruit ZING and a sprinkle of Art Glitter on a 7gypsies Photo Carousel Card which I made with a 7gypsies Photo Carousel Card Punch (due in the store any day now).   I like the size of the Photo Carousel, just big enough for a 4 x 6 photo and some doodlies. When you punch your own cards it's fun to try new ideas knowing - you can always punch another.  On this simple project I used Tim Holtz Distress Embossing ink, American Crafts Grapefruit ZING, Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper and buttons, Sassafras paper, and Collage Press Sweet Shoppe Die-cuts.

BasicGrey Calendar

Ahhh..... June - summer here in the desert -time to stay in the air conditioning or outside in the pool. Shade of any kind is a luxury here. Playing in the park is is a challenge because the equipment is burning hot and for some reason there is never a tree next to the play equipment -why is that? In the winter we are out everyday and the summer we stay in the shade and the pool a lot.

A little Heidi Swapp bling under the photo. The green florish and flowers are Collage Press SWEET SHOPPE Sweet Die-cut Shapes I inked the edges and stamped some Basic Grey porcelain birds on the flourish. The flowers I hand curled a bit.

I used Bazzill Basics CARDSTOCK Strips Just the Edge - Walnut a border.  Embossed using Tim Holtz Stamp Set/Garment District
for texture/ Tim Holtz Embossing Powder/Scattered Straw and then I dip the edges of the strip into Tim Holtz Color Wash/Espresso
which I had sprayed onto my craft sheet.

Look at these cool alpha stickers from the Basic Grey LIME RICKEY Collection.

I had no idea they were so cute until I tried one today - now I'm sure to use this whole sheet!

The die-cuts are Collage Press SWEET SHOPPE Sweet Die-cut Shapes. I used Kaiser Craft pearls and American Crafts Zing for the center of the larger flower.  I inked the edges with various colors of ColorBox Cats Eye Chalks.

Heidi Swapp Dream Dining Room Stickers in action.  The stickers come with both pink and black in a package.

Scrapbooking Kits

A New addition to the BlueMoon Scrapbooking store inspired by a Giveaway promotion we did in connection with Ali Edwards blog. Scrapbooking kits! Oriole

Just when you thought everything in the desert looked prehistoric - voila a splendid bird arrives.  Once a year we spot an Oriole and usually a mate. This year, hooray, I got a photo. I'm not sure which kind of Oriole it is, but my son and I really enjoy him visiting our yard and yes! I got that photo.

Here is what Collage Press said on their blog about this collection: "Everyone knows a Knave of Hearts. A bit of a twist on the well-known nursery rhyme, this knave's mischievousness only makes him more endearing. Not only does he get away with stealing our tarts, the next time around we're hoping he eats them while they're still hot. When I started this line, it was going to be for the "big boys" in our lives, but living with a 3-year-old boy made me think that it should include the "little boys" too! So I added some bright, playful patterns."

i love pink.
KandCompany Madeline paper- wonderful pinks - with my favorite light pink floral by KI Memories.  I've been saving this paper - it matched one of Elsie's baby outfits.
