Tutorial: add color to your intricate die cuts with Bibiana

Today we have Bibiana with a quick tutorial!

Today I am very excited to share with you all
this quick tutorial as a Guest Designer
On how to give some color to your intricate die cuts!

The background was sponged with distress inks and sponges....
see the green on the left...
as for the intricate die....

When die cutting, do not tear apart the die from the paper...color on top "randomly" with different shades of a same color of markers, color pencils or even use daubers ...
I used 3 different shades: a light, a medium and a dark one...
No particular way, no need to be careful...this goes VERY quickly!
same result if you are using color pencils or daubers with ink...

When you tear it apart this is the result:  a multi color branch

For the word: I trace with a ruler lines of color with the markers;
start with one or two lines of a lighter purple over the word, move the ruler trace some more lines with a medium tone and finish with a darker color...

Remember this technique can be substituted by other mediums....
Some Other Options:
Replace the permanent markers by using the same steps....
2- with Prismacolor pencils and "Gamsol"
4- with "Versamark" ink and embossing powders for a shinier effect...
6- with chalks/ "Panpastels"....

SUPPLIES
