Check out the Tim Holtz Alterations mini snowflakes die.  I have made a million snowflakes this season from this die.  I've used a wide range of papers and I just about love every paper with this die.

 The Hambly Overlays look marvelous under or layered between papers.

These 2 flakes have crackle Rock candy and the yellow one I dipped the tips in glue and then gold glitter.
