7gypsies Week at BlueMoonScrapbooking

Wednesdays Winner is: Blog Follower Cindy Welch! Email Scott@BlueMoonScrapbooking.com so we can mail you the Binderie Kit!

To enter todays giveaway.... you are still a gypsy (I hope your friends don't know this secret life you've been leading). You're traveling thru the south of France for the first time. You are going to chronicle your journey... how will you decorate the cover of this special journal.

Giveaway shipping is free to US residents only.

Todays sale is 10% off all 7gyspies ATC products. Use the code 7g in the coupon section.

My 7gypsies Photo Carousel has been expanding regularly. Marion, from the Design Team, is hooked to her Photo Carousel, as well. It's so easy and fun to make a card. Someitmes I do front and back sometimes I leave it blank in hopes of putting a photo there later. I've even given backs to my son to paint -so it's a family thing!

No photo to put up today? How about cutting a favorite piece of paper and using that as
a stand alone just for color! You can journal on the backside, add some Tim Holtz Stickles,
maybe a tad of paint here and there or just leave it blank as I did.

Use your NEW 7gypsies border punch to (easy as butter) punch some cuts and you're done.
Is this scrapbooking? This is too easy... I should have made this much more complicated especially since I know you're looking a for a time consuming project-LOL.

We just receive the newest Hambly Screen Print Transparencies-oooh, they are so nice.
Making a Photo Carousal Card, I cut the brown one over (1) inch on the side so it hangs out.
Using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Brown Paint -I brushed a little around the egdes. When dry, I sewed around the edges being very messy and leaving stray thread pieces here and there. At the top is a Tim Holtz small metal clip -boy these are cute! I hung a 7gypsies pearl dangle from that.
Now... I need to finish this. I'm not going to leave it in my hugh unfinished pile -LOL. I'll finish it tonight and show you the finished card tomorrow.

I;d use the 7Gs French Dictionary cards. I don't mind cutting things up, and they would be perfect.

Since I have never been to France, I am not sure. I would have to say after being there I would decorate with items that reminded me of the sights and sounds. Possibly the Venice collection would work. I would also find embellies, lace, etc from there and also cut out appropriate dies, etc. Sounds fun, maybe some day I will make it there! Thanks again for the opprotunity to win some great goodies.

Lots and lots of muted colors of ink, some fabric pieces and some distressed, themed stickers for added dimension.

I traveled through the south of France for the first time in 2003. Well, I was in Aix-en-Provenced for about 5 weeks and did lots of daytrips. Cezannes hailed from Aix so I think something that is inspired from his painting would be appropriate to decorate such a journal.

Wrong country, but I think I'd use the BARCELONA Paper - Terrassa & Sabadell. France makes be think of blue and yellow and white, so I'd use the yellow and blue sides of those papers. :-)

billiejo said...

Oh, I'd love to wander through France. I would splash on strokes of creme paint, a little direct to paper distress ink, then add a few simple swirl stamps before I top the cover with a fabulous acrylic like the one you have pictured. I love metal, so I'd use photo corners, chains and several other 7G's metal embellishments. Of course, I will add ribbons or fibers to finish the look. Gosh! Now I want to go make this. LOL!

dblanken said...

The front of my journal would have the Sheena market paper, I would use the Princesca ATC & Photo Display tags (love them). I would add some of the seam bindings to the page and finish it off with the Vintage hardware (clock and keys) and use the antique keys as accessories. I love 7 gypsies products!!!!

Marla said...

I would decorate it all vintage and old looking.

Erica said...

Such cool new products! I'd create something with photos from our honeymoon in Italy and Monaco.

Gene Skirt Divas said...

I would definitely use a combination of Gypsy Market papers to decorate the cover, then add a piece of metal scallop edge, then I would add a piece of cork (from whatever wine I will drink) as a book knob. To finish off, I will use some antique ribbon from the flea market and dangle some of 7gypsies new trinket like keys plus a tiny vile of my favorite wine:)

I think it would be fun to cover the front cover with some of the ephemera picked up on my travels: part of a map, part of a menu, some postage stamps, etc. Now if only I were really able to go to France! Thanks for the give away:)

Start with some great 7gypsies paper then go from there-something old/vintage- distress- lace/ribbon- whatever strikes my fancy

I'm thinking a vintage look with some lace or other milnery.

Karla Anderson said...

I think I would decorate my journal with the Gypsy Markey Epherma cards and Gypsy Market patterened paper tape and either the red/pewter book knob or cyrstal book knob.

Donna said...

I would use Gypsy Market Papers. I would layer different scroll shapes and use some metal and add a flower for flair. I would need a knob, maybe a crystal one, much like a crystal ball. Last I would layer some tags or stubs that I had picked up along the way. Yep thats what I would do!

Rhonda Van Ginkel said...

I would use the Vintage papers, the Venice stamps and distress the be-jeebers out of it. I'd add some beautiful dangles and stickles for just the right touch of bling!

I'd paint it and then add some Gypsy rubbings, gaffer tape, and feminine flowers. I'd finish off the binding with some dangly pearls and ribbons.

I would decorate my gypsie journal with vintage gypsie paper and paper tape. Stamp the outside with gypsie stamp images and dangle gypsy pearls from the binder! :c)

Thanks for the goodies!

Denise Turner said...

I would cover my journal with stamps and the vintage collection.

Judy said...

I would like to go with lavender since it is So. France but that won't work with my stash. I'd go with the Gypsy Market line and try to bring out the Country French colors of mustard yellow, red and blue.
Thanks for getting me dreaming of going to Provence.

Maxine #6215 said...

I would have to do it Vintage style (IF I could really determine what was "Vintage"), but I would definately go old looking. I love that look. Not grungy, but more old world, no later than 60's style. You know, that type of deco. I would use a lot of 7 gypsy paper from any paper line that I chose. I would have dangles and beads, knobs and crystals. I would use my distress inks and distress stickles for even more pop. I would take a step back in time and try to relieve the past in my book.

Thanks for the chance to win.

lavendarrose29 said...

France screams vintage romance with beads and lace stolen from my grandma's sewing basket I'm sure

Nitasha said...

my journal would be covered in vintage papers and trinkets....with splash of plum color!

L84AROPIN said...

I think an tea bag dyed (or inked) doily, followed by flowers and rich toned jewels would flow throughout my journal. Something about France just makes me think of rich and warm feelings.

Brenda Lubrant said...

I would use black and white paper to cover the album cover. On it would be a collage of the eiffel tower and a crow with a crown on top of it's head. That just speaks French to me. Of course I would use lots of 7 Gypsies' dangles and ribbons.

klasickewpie said...

I would cover the outside in Gypsy Market:Saige and dry brush a little white paint on top. Then I'd cut an arched opening on the front made to look like a dark wooden door. I would attach open book knob hardware to door. Inside the door, I would have an niche to store my journaling papers to document my travels.

Emily said...

I would decorate it with Tim Holtz distress stickles.

My recollections from many years ago when I did travel through the south of France include some time on a beach, where we saw some men catch an octopus among other things, and wild flowers, so probably something peaceful and calming for decoration.
