Our first Design Team Member - Melanie Stanczyk

Drum roll please....We've finally done it -we now have a non-video design team member and what a fabulous scrapper she is! Just look at this beautiful bird house which was featured on the Prima Flowers Blog. Also, don't you just love the Cosmo Cricket train -wonderful! Melanie will be posting regularly on the design team blog. On Monday the 21st she'll have her first design using our Shining Madonna monthly kit.

Now onto the good stuff... here's a little note from Melanie Stanczyk our first Design Team Member.

Hello, my name is Melanie Stanczyk. I’m so excited to join the design team for BlueMoon Scrapbooking. Ironically BlueMoon is also my favorite flavor of ice cream!

A little about me, I was born and raised in Wisconsin where I’m now raising my family. I live with my husband Scott and our 3 children, Brandon (12), Khila (9) and Kaden (5). We have 1 pet, a dog named Zoey. We enjoy spending the summers outdoors and the winters indoors. Weekends are usually spent as family time weather it be flea marketing, camping, festivities around town or a movie at home (or as my family says--more picture taking for scrapbook pages!)

I have been scrapbooking for 5 years. But my passion for creating goes well beyond that. I tend to use various techniques and incorporate them into my designs. I like to include the “unexpected, ” such as wood and fabric to my projects and really make them fun! I would describe my scrapbook style as shabby chic but really subject to change at any given time. I love the look of distressing, and I distress almost everything including my photos!

My favorite items to work with are mediums such as paint and mists, scrapbooking kits and vintage items. I absolutely love Tim Holtz/Ranger Industries products; they are a staple for my collection. Prima Marketing, Tattered Angels, Maya Road, Webster Pages and Melissa Frances are among my favorite manufactures.

I want my pages to tell a heartfelt story. In doing so, I love using beautiful embellishments to accent my photos. I think it’s very important to share my thoughts and feelings on paper so my photos can be remembered in a way that others can treasure in the future.

Please stop by my blog and say hi!
