Family

A gorgeous and whimsical shadow box from Melissa Mann!
"To create this little shadow box, I first painted the entire thing with the Claudine Hellmuth gesso. I was not particularly exact on how neat I was painting; I figured if a little showed through, it would just have a distressed look. After painting it, I cut out 6 rectangles of pattern paper and glued them inside each box. I picked out four black & white pictures of various family members and cut them down to size and then picked the four boxes that they would go into and glued them down. From there, I started embellishing. I used lots of chipboard by Maya Road and Crate Paper. I also stamped out some sentiments and glued them down in various places. At the very end, I used a gold Ranger paint dabber and swiped it roughly along the edges to add some more distressing. I don't consider myself an "altered art" kind of girl, but this was a very fun project! The shadow boxes are on sale, so pick one up and share your creation!" ~~Melissa
