I love BG doilies! I would love for BG to bring in someone right out of art school with some fresh new ideas to incorporate into BG's steller lineup!

New talent would be very cool!!

Let's see...if I am already a designer at BG and I actually had to work alongside this new designer then I would have to go with Lynnette Davis as well. She would add an eclectic funk to Basic Grey and I think a lot of people would buy all of our designs because we are just awesome like that!

the DOILIES! oh, they are FABULOSO!! i love all of the new elements! can't wait to check out Breathless, and i'm ITCHING for the Oliver and Olivia lines!

BG has some amazing designers - if they were looking for a new one to add to the mix, i happen to be hunting for a new job/career right now! ;) OH, wait, i already work for them? okay, then i think it would be fun to pick 'em out of a Blogger pool and have a big reality show based on it!

I'm so excited that you're giving away card kits! Not enough attention is given to how us cardmakers use paper and scrapbooking products, I feel. In that vein I would nominate my Flickr friend Veltheimia as a next designer. She makes AMAZING ATCs out of all kinds of paper and embellishments. I'll bet with some Basic Grey and a little encouragement she'd be turning out STUNNING greeting cards.

Love this kit and look at those adorable doilies. Gosh there are so many creative and inspiring crafters that would rock using Baisc Grey. I know anyone from the Unity DT would be amazing. Thanks for a chance.

I love those greeting card kits, they're some of my fave BG products! They make cute cards, so easy!!!

I think BG should hire Julie Tucker-Wolek, because she's my scrappy hero. She always does new innovative things, and she's so dang HAPPY all the time! :) :) :) :) :)

All of the Basic Grey giveaway prizes have looked YUMMY!!! :)

I think it would be really inspiring to see a new artist on the scene, perhaps with a style that it not commonly used, such as maybe mixed media? There are so many VERY talented scrapper today so choosing just one would be near impossible!

Love me some Basic Grey! Do I have containers and pads and packs of Basic Grey? I do! Do I want more? I do. Would I love to win this giveaway? I would. Am I heading over to the store to buy some? I am. Scott, you are killing me!

Jennifer said...

I think they should hire someone outside the scrapbooking industry for a completely fresh take on it!!

Nitasha said...

Hmm...so many worthy designers out here in Scrappyland including the awesome chicas who post here!
But because I love to see fresh new faces and love for new people to have a chance in the spotlight I would say choose a new art student to be the next Basic Grey Star!!!

My vote would go towards bringing in an unknown... a new, fresh perspective. BG products are original and refreshing, so the designers should be also. Thanks for the chance to win!

I would have to say Donna Salazar should be one of their designers! I love her stuff!

Tina S said...

I think Basic Grey should get Ali Edwards to design some things for them. She's great at making things that look like they've been around forever but could have been created yesterday. Love these lines a lot

I have an art class that has a couple of kids who do some pretty awesome work with both grafitti and life drawing... Imagine a combination of both!!! It would be cool to have a more edgy look to some pieces that contrast with softer colors, fibers and images...

I would like to see Donna Donaway design something for Basic Grey. I think she is between grunge and vintage. She would be able to create a new exciting line for Basic Grey.

I think I would like to see Irene Tan, also known as scrapperlicious. design something for Basic Grey. She always has such great ideas, and she is still a new enough face.
