Creative Bite

A pink layout - go figure -I've always liked pink and have only used it if their were girls in my layouts. So, now I'm going crazy with pink. Purple will come next I'm sure- probably fairies! I like the purples in Kelly Panacci's collection from Sandylion. We have her 12 x 12 album shown here on order.

Their items ship a little here and there, but it's all coming. We have a lot of new items coming from CHA. Keep an eye out. Chatterbox papers came in for their new collection- doodlies are shipping later -I wish they would ship them together! When they come in, we as usual will put them under "New" -even if it's just a few doodlies.

My creative bite was inspired by Emine Pala in the April/May issue of Sumerset Magazine page 6. I had never seen this magazine before (I need to get out more) and wow, love it! The funny thing is I can barely get a chance to read it, because Elsie loves to see my reading material and you guessed it-eat it!

Flower

Usually our cactus gets tons of these - huge, about 9" flowers. Maybe because of the lack of rain, the plant only had a few. The bees love them. The flower opens at night and closes in the morning.

Wee Gallery

Is this a cool company or what. We have major allergies in our house so painting even with so called green paints creates problems. Now we can decorate the walls without paint! The best part is it's super easy and they peel right off if you don't like where you put them. If you think of all the time to paint images and this takes minutes-wow.
I don't want to forget to mention the greeting cards and flash cards. Perfect for babies eyes especially the littlest whom only see in black and white. They are designed to interest babies at different stages. At birth, the fascination with the details of the design, and as they grow older they point out the names of the animals. The cards are heavy enough to stand up to eating!

From the Wee Gallery site: "Wee Gallery was conceived by Surya and Dave, graphic designer and teacher.

When our son was born we read everything. We read about how to interpret babies' cries and change their diapers. We discovered that babies develop in so many ways during the first 5 years that it dwarfs everything they learn over the entire rest of their lives. That seemed pretty incredible considering how much we learned as parents during his first six weeks of life. We learned that newborns can only see 12 to 15 inches away and they are most taken with their parent's faces and black and white geometric figures. Experimenting with the latter idea, Wee Gallery was born.

So why couldn't we just get away with drawing black lines with a marker on a piece of paper? But as Sid got older the lines became very boring. The animals, on the other hand, continued to entertain. As his motor-skills developed he would grab the cards and look at them. When we told him stories for each animal he would listen and look, turn the card and turn it again. As he approached one he would carry them around and give them to us, asking for a story. He could even point out each animal as we named them. Now as he approaches two, he still loves them. He is a bit shy of the cat, as he is of real cats, but he always waves and says "Hi" to Emmy (the elephant). "
