Creative Bite

My son likes to use my digital camera - only he likes to take 50 plus pictures whenever he gets it. I like to do layouts with his work. Hopefully he'll get a kick out of his artist ability when he gets older.

KI Memories

If your a big fan of Love Elsie like we are here's a look at the new Jack and Abby line coming out in August sometime. This is a wonderful Fall collection and the mini album is very "homey". Besides Love Elsie, KI has some really super bright colors coming out - especially die-cut 12x12 papers and lots of softie items! The bulk of new KI will be arriving in October -long time to wait.

Layout using Daisyd's Salt Water Taffy Collection of paper and frame sticker. Around the Block dog Chipboard piece. Lil Davis Chipboard Flourish. Autumn Leaves Black Bird epoxy. KI Memories Alphabet Soup Letters and American Crafts large Brad.
My favorite part of this layout was using the Daisyd's sticker frame. I wish there were more frames on the sheet -very dramatic look.

Scenic Route

Scenic Route's latest Sumner and Ashville Collections of papers and Die-cut 12 x 12 sheets. These journaling spots are the best and who can't get enough of the Arrows. Both lines are great for Fall projects. We have more matching products from Scenic Route on order coming in the next few weeks.

Creative Imaginations

Creative Imaginations -the Narratives Collections are fabulous, aren't they? Photo shows the Antique Cream line with Heidi Swapp Ghost Clocks. October will bring some outstanding new Narratives additions. All (4) Color Collections - Antique Cream, Melonberry, Sweet Pea, and Blue Bell - have additions that will go with the products out now. I love when good lines just get bigger, because it makes it easy to scrap with everything matching.
We'll have the whole Narratives Collection when it comes out.

Cosmo Cricket

Love the green with a candy cane ribbon design.

I like the old fashioned look of both collections - especially "Be Good".

Rainbow

Monsoon is here or just about. That means rain and rainbows for us and good lightning storms. We shut off all the lights and open the shades to see the brilliant lightning show. You can barely see on the top photo, but there is a double rainbow, to the right. If I had a wide angle lense maybe I could have gotten the whole rainbow in the photo. It was bright and thick.

A good book my son and I just read, "Water Wishes" by Mallory Loehr. It's about siblings finding a floating green bottle in the ocean and being granted 3 wishes. We had fun talking about wishes. He said his first wish is that we would always be together. Boy I loved that wish! But I do have to tell you one of the rules of the wishes is that whatever you wish for can't be kept, so toys were out! We have reserved at the library the rest of the series. "Water Wishes" is the first volumn.

Personal Announcement

Scott and I would like to announce a new baby on the way.
We feel Blessed and overjoyed and the baby must too because he/she is dancing around in the belly everyday and night.
I'm now 21 weeks so I've got a ways to go still, but it's going fast.
Wish us luck - we're back in the baby business.

BasicGrey Infuse Collection

Don't you just love these colors! What I like about BasicGrey is the ease of using them. I like to just cut them in bunches and have a college look as a background, they blend together perfectly you can't go wrong using them together. The floral die cuts are wonderful this collection.

Quilting

We've had a few quilters on the site recently which is fabulous! Being a former quilter myself -I love it. My favorite new "quilter like" products are the Love Elsie Buttons and fabric sheets. The fabric sheets are actual cloth - they are so unique.
I stopped quilting only because I am very allergic to the fabrics. One of my quilts is pictured above. I packed them up and began scrapbooking. It is similar for me in that, the paper is my fabric and the embellishments are my fibers. Both are creating unique designs using color!
The BasicGrey Infuse Collection is in and the video should be on the BlueBlog tomorrow.
